Thousands of families depend on SHARE each month for affordable and nutritious groceries. Volunteer to help prepare for our monthly food distributions by assembling food packages and assuring the accuracy and quality of food orders. This is a great service opportunity for families, teens, and groups of volunteers! Volunteers are needed every weekday from now until November 18, 2021. MONA FARMS
Join us every Tuesday and Saturday from 9AM to 10AM to tend the Mona Center Farm! Volunteers do not need any gardening experience, but it is welcomed! Come ready to get your hands in the dirt and with an eager attitude. The vegetables harvested will go to Catholic Charities’ KitchenWork, a program that provides food for St. Maria’s Meals and the weekly community food distribution events. COAT DRIVE 2021
Join Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of the Washington for our ninth annual Coats of Many Colors Coat Drive! Each year we provide coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to members of our local community. New and gently used coats that are clean and in good condition are being collected from November 2021 until December 2021 Weare currently seeking donors to donate coats at our selected drop off sites. In addition, we are seeking volunteers to help on the day of the event to help set up the Coat Drive and assist with the distribution to clients. HOLIDAY VOLUNTEER EVENTS
As we approach the holiday season, we will host many volunteer projects that will bring joy and community to our clients! You can check out our website for holiday events at various Catholic Charities programs (including St. Maria’s Meals and SHARE). The projects will take place between November and January.
