This weekend, parishioners will notice that our beautiful 1925 hand-carved Stations of the Cross have been removed from the walls of the church. We are in the processing of repairing the plaster around the stations, as well as having the stations thoroughly cleaned, repaired and oiled to restore the luster of the English walnut figures and quarter-sawn oak wood frames. Our Communications and Worship Commissions will prepare a lengthier article and an illustrated guide to their removal and restoration in the coming weeks. We also want to thank the generous (and anonymous) donor who is making this possible in memory of our beloved Monsignor Maurice O'Connell.
