Our Youth Ministry organized a group of parish families to join other Chevy Chase area faith commnities for a peaceful and socially distant vigil along Connecticut Avenue on Sunday, June 7th. More than 100 parishioners - including Father Magro — joined nearly 400 others to stand (six feet apart) in solidarity against racial injustice. Wearing masks and holding signs, participants formed a line along the road that stretched from East West Highway to Chevy Chase Circle. While there was no central gathering with speakers, those driving along Connecticut Avenue cheered, creating a constant chorus of exuberant horn-blowing.
