Catholics address the very real threat of climate change in the light of our faith. We believe everything we are and have is from God. We believe we must love our neighbor, and protecting the earth we all share is a vital part of doing so. Jesus said, "Whatever you did for one of the least, you did for me." (Matthew 25:40) Pope Francis asks us to consider the increased vulnerability of the poor of the earth to the effects of climate change.
Our Care for Creation Ministry meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM from September through June. Currently, we meet on Zoom. Please contact Janet Chap ([email protected]) for more information or for a Zoom link.
Blessed Sacrament is pleased to present our parish Laudato Si’ Action Plan. This plan was created in response to the call from Pope Francis in his encyclical, Laudato Si’, to care for our common home. This plan includes contributions from many parish groups who are faithfully carrying out projects and activities that meet Laudato Si’ goals.
“The urgent challenge to protect our common home includes a concern to bring
the whole human family together to seek a sustainable and integral development,
for we know that things can change.” Pope Francis, Laudato Si’.
