In order to create an environment that is conducive to each student's spiritual growth, the Youth Minister, Youth Ministry Advisory Board and our pastor Fr. Gary Studniewski have established the following guidelines. The registration of a student in our ministry is an expressed agreement on the student’s part and the part of his/her parents or guardian to observe the following procedural norms.
`
Students are expected to participate equally in the activities of each pillar of our ministry: faith, service and social. Note: Service projects are designed for the sole purpose of teaching students how to follow the teachings of Christ and learning to live their Catholic faith. We do not offer service hours.
We expect family/parent involvement and support that is expressed in the way of time, talent and resources.
Students are expected to be picked-up from Youth Ministry gatherings on time. Repeated failure to do so will result in consequences including the student being prohibited from attending youth group events.
CELL PHONES & PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES
In order to maintain an environment where students can learn how to live their faith, cell phone use will not be permitted during youth group gatherings.
Cell phones must be turned off, stowed in the student’s backpack and not visible. Placing a cell phone on silent/vibrate mode is not considered “turned off." The use of laptops, tablets, smart phones, smart watches, and other electronic devices is not permitted during Youth Ministry gatherings and events. Students who violate this policy may have their property confiscated by the Youth Minister, parish staff or parent volunteers.
While the parish is not responsible for lost or stolen items, we have established a lost and found box which is located in the front office of the Parish Center.
