Give a weekend to God! The men of Blessed Sacrament go on retreat each year at
LOYOLA ON THE POTOMAC – A Jesuit Retreat House in Faulkner, MD. The Ignition Weekend Retreat is based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. The retreat is conducted in silence and includes generous amounts of time for prayer, personal reflection and the cultivation of a deeper relationship with God. It is open to anyone who desires to grow in their relationship with God through prayer. The retreat begins Friday evening, February 28 and concludes with lunch on Sunday, March 1.
St. Ignatius emphasized that Prayer is the Essence of our life as Christians. We are taught that communication is the key to any successful relationship. This retreat will be a welcomed companion on our faith journey. Successful communication relies on both speaking and listening. On our retreat we will learn to more effectively communicate with God as we listen in the prayerful silence and as we speak from our heart and experience.
