Today, we celebrate an ancient tradition. We begin the Lenten season by marking our foreheads with ashes – a sign of humility and repentances. We hear the words “Repent and believe in the Gospel” or “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” Listen carefully to the readings today and in the three days that follow. They are preparing us to enter into this holy season. They speak of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Masses will be celebrated at 6:30, 8:00, and 11:00 AM and 5:30 and 7:00 PM.
