Blessed Sacrament Seniors Event
Champagne, Chocolate, Icons and Manuscripts In the Afternoon
with Joyce Johnson

Monday, May 5, 2 -3:30 pm.

Parishioner Joyce Johnson is providing a wonderful opportunity for
those who missed the January showing of Joyce’s beautiful crèches
and icons. In addition to icons, Joyce will be displaying her collections
of old (about 300 years) Hebrew scrolls of the Torah AND her 13-15th
Century Christian manuscript leaves (Book of Hours, Bible, etc.)
We will once again offer options on getting there: carpools, walking
(less than 1⁄2 mile) or drive on your own. Walkers will step off from the
parking lot of the apartment building next to the church at 1:45 and
walk to Joyce’s house at 5518 Western Ave (less than 1/2 mile).
Carpoolers will meet at the same place and also depart at 1:45.
Alternatively, you can meet us there (5518 Western Ave, Chevy
Chase, MD). If you are driving, please save the parking spaces in the
driveway for carpoolers and those who have ambulatory issues.
Refreshments: Assorted homemade chocolate treats and a few
savories accompanied by sparklings: water, wine, apple juice and
ginger ale. It will be a sparkling event!
