Care for Creation Ministry Meeting

Pope Francis’s encyclical Laudato Si’ calls us to care for God’s creation. God created the world and entrusted it to us as a gift - how can we respond to the call to protect it?

“LAUDATO SI’, mi’ Signore’– “Praise be to you, my Lord”. In the words of this beautiful canticle, Saint Francis of Assisi reminds us that our common home is like a sister with whom we share our life and a beautiful mother who opens her arms to embrace us. . . We see increasing sensitivity to the environment and the need to protect nature, along with a growing concern, both genuine and distressing, for what is happening to our planet.

A group of parishioners has formed a Care for Creation Ministry at Blessed Sacrament in response to Pope Francis’s call to protect our common home. Our next meeting is Thursday, July 18th at 7pm in the Duffy Center, parking lot level. All are welcome to attend.
