On Friday, December 6, at 7 AM after the 6:30 AM Mass, is our parish gathering to explore how others practice their faith in the marketplace.
Our speaker is our in-residence priest Father Andrew Menke, executive director of the International Commission on English in the Liturgy (ICEL). Ordained in 1999 for the Lincoln Diocese, Fr. Andrew served at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops as executive director of the Secretariat for Divine Worship and in the Holy See’s Congregation for Divine Worship. Fr. Andrew facilitates communication between the Holy See and bishops’ conferences globally where English is used in liturgy. He also oversees preparation of English translations of Latin liturgical books.
Jump start your Advent journey and be part of this active organization. Bring a friend, Friday, December 6, to the Duffy Center for an interesting conversation on the language we use when we celebrate the sacred liturgy.
