On Friday evening, March 7, at 6:30 PM we will host our parish community gathering of men and women to explore how others live and practice their faith in the marketplace.
Our speaker is parishioner Mary Claire Kendall, a bi-monthly columnist for Aleteia (re: legends of Hollywood and hidden screen gems), television and radio personality and public speaker whose latest book (Ernest) Hemingway’s Faith profiles this complex man with a simple faith. In addition to discussing his deeply yet quietly held religious belief, Mary Claire also will discuss stories of faith and healing she has written about in Oasis: Conversion Stories of Hollywood Legends and Oasis of Faith: The Souls Behind the Billboard—Barrymore, Cagney, Tracy, Stewart, Guinness, and Lemmon, her first and second books in this series featuring legends of Hollywood. It was her writing about Gary Cooper that led her to write about Hemingway.
All are invited to be part of this active parish organization and urged to bring a friend Friday evening, March 7, the First Friday in Lent, to the Duffy Center – lower level for an interesting conversation on the marketplace motivations which encourages an awareness and reinforcement of faith and spirituality which can lead to conversion.
