Mark Your Calendar for the Feast Day Celebration of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament – Friday, May 13, 2022, immediately after the 5:30 pm Mass
May 13 is a very special day indeed! It coincides with Our Lady’s first appearance to the visionaries of Fatima (1917), the assassination attempt on Saint Pope John Paul II (1981), and it also marks the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, a title given to Mary by St. Peter Julian Eymard in 1868. Many may not be aware that the statue of Mary in the right alcove of our church depicts the Blessed Mother in this special role!
The May 13 celebration in the Parish Center will immediately follow the 5:30 pm Mass, with a talk by Discalced Carmelite Friar Fr. Eugene “Gene” Wehner, O.C.D. who will further explain the significance of this Marian title, its connection to Fatima, and much more!
