Retirement Announcement

As was announced at all Masses last week, I want to share with those who were not present news of my retirement. It is with mixed feelings that I announce that Cardinal Gregory has accepted my request to retire within this my 70^th year. Although I share this news with you now, the effective date will be in the summer at the regular time for priest transfers (which will be July 6). It is important that I tell you this at this time as the search for a successor will soon be underway. It has been a great honor to serve the people in this my home parish for almost five years. Blessed Sacrament has been and always will be an important part of my spiritual heritage.
